Axiomtek, one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of innovative, high performance and reliable PC-based industrial computer products, recently hosted a food drive for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. The company donated over 400 pounds of food items to the Los Angles Food Bank’s General Family/Household Distribution & Meal Programs. According to the Food Bank, the organization distributes donated food and products, along with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), to more than 600 charitable partner agencies across Los Angeles County. Over 320,000 individuals are served by this program monthly. This number includes families with children, homeless individuals and the elderly who are in need of assistance.

Axiomtek’s core values include its strong beliefs in corporate social responsibility and giving back to the local communities in which they operate. The company encourages their employees to participate in volunteer activities and support charitable causes throughout the year. Axiomtek realizes the importance of hunger problems affecting its local communities. Los Angeles County has one of the largest populations in the nation, where an estimated 1.4 million people live with food insecurities according to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. People affected by hunger include fixed-income seniors, low-income families and people with disabilities. During this season of giving, Axiomtek’s executives have worked in conjunction with its employee committee to raise awareness of local communities’ needs and urged all of their employees to donate food items to help fight hunger.

“We believe that no one deserves to go hungry,” said Stanley Chang, Axiomtek’s chief financial officer. “As a company that has been in business for over 25 years, our main focus has always been on doing business responsibly and in a way that positively impacts on our environment, employees, neighbors and local communities where we live and operate in. We’ve learned that some of our neighbors are going hungry and unsure of where their next meals will come from. Our staff sprang into action and together raised over 400 pounds of food items to help combat this problem. We are proud of our employee’s contributions and will continue our commitment to support and positively impact our local communities for years to come.”
