Axiomtek Launches its Expandable, Compact Medical-grade Touch Panel PC for Space-Constrained Environments – The MPC102-845
City of Industry, Calif., Jan. 31, 2018 – Axiomtek, one of the world’s leading design and manufacturing companies of innovative, high performance and reliable PC-based industrial computer products, is proud to introduce its newest medical-grade touch panel PC, the MPC102-845. The MPC102-845 is certified with EN 60601-1 for medical applications, which includes integration with nursing carts and medical devices as a point-of-care terminal or health facility infotainment terminal. It is versatile, durable and customizable for use in patient rooms, nurse stations, clinics and other medical environments.
The compact fanless medical touch panel computer is powered by the Intel® Celeron® processor N3060. It has a 10.4-inch XGA TFT LCD display with a resistive touchscreen and 350 nits of brightness. The MPC offers two PCI Express Mini Card slots for RFID, 3G, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection – which can be used for real-time patient data access and processing. Its rich I/Os allow for easy customization and expansion. Among its many key features, the MPC102-845 offers one RS-232 port, one RS-232/422/485 port, two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, two Gigabit Ethernet ports and one audio (Line-out). It can withstand operating temperature ranges of 0°C to +40°C (+32℉ to +104℉) and up to 2G of vibration. Its IP65-rated spill/dust-resistant front bezel can protect it from damage due to spilled liquids.
The MPC102-845 has one 204-pin DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM socket for up to 8 GB of system memory. It also features one 2.5” SATA HDD and one mSATA for storage. The medical panel PC provides a choice of two types of power input: a medical grade AC/DC power adapter with a screw type connector, and a DC power input with a terminal block connector. There is also an easily accessible external switch for AT/ATX mode selection. The MPC102-845 can be mounted on a panel mount, wall mount, VESA arm or desktop stand. This industrial-grade touch panel PC can be run on Windows® 10, Windows® 8.1, Windows® 7, WES 7 and WE8S.
“The MPC102-845 has passed the ESD immunity test with 15kV air discharge and 8kV contact discharge to ensure operational safety in the healthcare environment,” said Tony Chen, a product manager of the Medical Touch Panel PC Division at Axiomtek. “Its lightweight and ultra slim design allows it to be used within space-constrained environments.”
